Mark Pare returns for fifth season as Panthers PxP voice
KITCHENER - The voice of the Panthers is back for another year.
Mark Pare is returning to provide play-by-play commentary for Kitchener Panthers home games, a role he has held since 2021.
Pare is a familiar voice through the IBL, and sports throughout southwestern Ontario.
He has been in the broadcast industry since 2011, calling games in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League for his first seven years in the industry while being employed full-time in radio.
Currently, he is a news reporter with the Village Media site GuelphToday.com.
During the summer months, he is also the play-by-play voice of the Guelph Royals (IBL) and the Six Nations Chiefs of Major Series Lacrosse.
Last fall, Pare called the final out of the IBL playoffs in Guelph and the Mann Cup senior lacrosse championship in the same week.
In the winter months, Pare is a colour analyst for the Guelph Storm on RogersTV, a road game colour analyst for the Sudbury Wolves on 96.7 CKLU radio, as well as a play-by-play commentator for the Laurier Golden Hawks women's hockey broadcasts on OUA TV.
He, along with Neil Srivastava, are the hosts of the IBL Inside Pitch podcast, available on YouTube, Apple and Spotify.
"It is an honour to be able to step in the booth once again in Kitchener," Pare said.
"Shanif and the Panthers ownership team have been welcoming of my voice and input since acquiring the team, and I can't wait to get things started in May, and help showcase what we have been doing behind the scenes to get things ready."
