KITCHENER - A former Maple Leaf is heading to Jack Couch Park.
Charlie Towers lands on his third team in three seasons, heading to Kitchener after playing last season in Toronto.
Towers had a .291 AVG in 36 regular season games for the Leafs last year, including a home run and 14 RBI. He played for Hamilton in 2023, and hit .218 in 24 games.
He is a former Western Canadian Baseball League all-star, earning those laurels with the Fort McMurray Giants in 2022.
"We are ecstatic to have Charlie join our team for the upcoming season," said general manager Shanif Hirani. "We see an immediate impact player in Charlie and project his swing to play very well at Jack Couch."
