SIGNING TRACKER: Nick Parsons back for another season

KITCHENER - One of Kitchener's biggest bats from a year ago is making a return.

Nick Parsons has signed and will compete in his fourth IBL season, all with the Panthers.

Last year was a breakout year for the Waterloo native. He posted a .267 batting average, hit nine home runs and collected 32 RBI in 31 games.

That, after he went off in his final year with the University of St. Francis (NAIA).

He hit 19 home runs in 59 games last spring for the Cougars, collecting 65 RBI and crossed home plate 45 times.

"Coming off a season where he hit nine home runs, we expect him to continue to build on the power he has shown, and to be an offensive force," said general manager Shanif Hirani.

"His swing plays very well at Jack Couch and I am excited for the impact he will make on our lineup this year."
